Alan Ritchson
Alan Ritchson (also credited as Alan Michael Ritchson; Алан Рітчсон) is an American screen actor born on November 28, 1982, in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Known for a commanding physical presence and sharp comic timing, he has built a career that moves easily between superhero lore, action thrillers, and character-driven drama.
Ritchson first drew attention on television as Aquaman/Arthur Curry in Smallville, returning across multiple seasons. He then broke out with a leading role in the sports comedy series Blue Mountain State, later revisiting the character for the 2016 film continuation. His TV range expanded further with the high-octane SyFy series Blood Drive and a return to DC storytelling as Hank Hall/Hawk on Titans.
Global recognition surged with his turn as the title character in Amazon Prime Video’s Reacher (since 2022), cementing him as a modern action lead. On the film side, he voiced and performed Raphael in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboots and appeared in major franchises including The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (as Gloss) and Fast X (as Aimes).
Ritchson has also stepped behind the camera, making his directorial debut with Dark Web: Cicada 3301. Recent notable credits include The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (as Anders Lassen), Ordinary Angels, Nora Roberts' Midnight Bayou, The Butcher, and The Man with the Bag.
