Alex Borstein
Alex Borstein (also credited as 艾利克斯·布诺斯町 / 亚历克丝·博斯坦) is an American screen artist known for blending sharp comedy with versatile voice and live-action performances. Born on February 15, 1971, in Highland, Illinois, she became a familiar presence to global audiences through her long-running work in animation and sketch comedy.
After studying rhetoric at San Francisco State University, Borstein honed her craft in improvisation at the ACME Comedy Theatre near Hollywood. Her stage work there drew industry attention and helped launch her into television, where she built early credits as a writer and voice performer on series such as Casper, Pinky and the Brain, and Power Rangers: Zeo before joining MADtv, eventually becoming a key repertory player.
Borstein is best known as the voice of Lois Griffin on Family Guy, a role that showcases her range across character work and comedic timing. Her film résumé spans studio comedies and dramas, including Catwoman (as Sally), Good Night, and Good Luck. (as Natalie), The Lookout (as Mrs. Lange), and Killers (as Mrs. Baily).
She has also stepped into the spotlight as herself in projects like Alex Borstein: Corsets & Clown Suits and TV specials, while continuing voice work in features such as The Bad Guys (Police Chief Misty Luggins). Across formats, Borstein remains a distinctive comedic force with enduring pop-culture impact.
