Aline Brosh McKenna

Aline Brosh McKenna (born August 2, 1967, in France) is an American screen artist best known for her work as a writer across film and television. With a sharp ear for character-driven comedy and modern romance, she has become a recognizable voice in mainstream Hollywood storytelling.

McKenna’s screenplay credits include the fashion-world hit The Devil Wears Prada (2006), followed by crowd-pleasing studio comedies such as 27 Dresses (2008) and Morning Glory (2010). She also contributed to heartfelt family fare with We Bought a Zoo (2011), helping shape stories that balance humor with emotional stakes.

On television, she expanded her influence by co-creating The CW’s acclaimed musical-comedy series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, a project celebrated for its inventive tone and character complexity.
