Ambreen Razia

Ambreen Razia (born July 4, 1992, in Hounslow, Greater London) is an English screen actor and writer known for sharp, character-led performances across British film and television. Raised in South London by a Pakistani single mother, she adopted her grandmother’s first name, Razia, as her surname—an early marker of the personal storytelling that runs through her work.

She studied performing arts at Kingston College, later earning a BA from the University of West London (2013) and training with the Identity School of Acting. Razia broke through by writing and starring in the sitcom Hounslow Diaries (2018), bringing an authentic, local voice to the screen.

Her credits span acclaimed dramas and comedies, including Murdered by My Father (as Rafia), Finding Fatimah (as Hafsah), Scrapper (as Zeph), The Long Goodbye (as Aisha), CUR:FEW (as Reema), Dial M for Middlesbrough (as Penny), and the series Starstruck (as Shivani). She has also appeared in notable TV titles such as Black Mirror, This Way Up, Trigonometry, The Curse, and Ted Lasso.

In 2023, Razia signed a development deal with Expectation Entertainment to create Wasted, a comedy-drama centered on a South Asian immigrant mother and daughter—continuing her focus on contemporary British life with humor and heart.
