Andrzej Konopka

Andrzej Konopka (born January 1, 1969, in Poland) is a Polish screen actor recognized for grounded, character-driven performances across contemporary cinema and television. Known for his ability to bring credibility to authority figures and morally complex men, Konopka has built a steady reputation as a versatile supporting and lead presence.

He drew attention with roles that place him close to social and political tensions, including Popiełuszko: Freedom Is Within Us, where he appears as an older militia sergeant in the prosecutor’s office. His film work also includes The Christening (as Father Wiesław) and the crime-leaning A Grain of Truth, in which he plays Policjant Marszałek, adding weight and realism to ensemble casts.

Konopka’s credits span dramas and thrillers such as A Simple Story About Murder (as prosecutor Czerski) and The Word (as an investigator), as well as internationally titled projects like Me voy. He is also known for We Haven’t Lost Our Way, appearing as Eryk.

With roles ranging from clergy to prosecutors and media professionals—such as Fear of Falling, where he plays Andrzej, a TVP publisher—Konopka continues to be a reliable choice for stories that demand restraint, intensity, and authenticity.
