Known for blending character-driven drama with large-scale genre filmmaking, he rose from international horror success to major studio blockbusters.

His breakout arrived with Mama (2013), which put his atmospheric, suspense-forward style on the global map. Muschietti then became closely associated with Stephen King adaptations by directing It (2017) and its follow-up It Chapter Two (2019), helping turn the franchise into one of modern horror’s defining theatrical events.
