Anthony Carrigan

Anthony Carrigan (born January 2, 1983, in the Boston area of Massachusetts) is an American screen actor recognized for scene-stealing character work across television and film. He rose to wide acclaim as NoHo Hank on HBO’s Barry (2018–2023), earning three Primetime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

Before that breakout, Carrigan built a steady résumé on the small screen, including Tyler Davies on The Forgotten (2009–2010) and the chilling Victor Zsasz on FOX’s Gotham (2014–2019). He also appeared in Bill & Ted Face the Music (2020) as the robot Dennis Caleb McCoy, further showcasing his range from menace to offbeat comedy.

A Winchester High School graduate who later attended Carnegie Mellon University, Carrigan has also spoken openly about living with alopecia areata since childhood. As his hair loss progressed, he adapted on set—at times using makeup and artificial brows—and ultimately turned his distinctive look into a defining on-screen signature.

His credits continue to expand, including Adulthood, The Toll Road, Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo!, and upcoming high-profile roles such as Metamorpho in Superman.
