Arsema Thomas
Arsema Thomas is an Atlanta, Georgia–born screen actor whose perspective has been shaped by a life lived largely across sub-Saharan Africa, including time in Uganda, Kenya, Togo, and Benin. With a Nigerian father and Ethiopian mother, she has often drawn on cross-cultural storytelling traditions—an influence that helped spark her early interest in acting as a way to communicate lived experience.
Before turning fully toward performance, Thomas pursued an academic path in the sciences and public health. She earned a B.A. in Biological Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University (2016), followed by a Master of Public Health in Health Policy from Yale University (2018), bringing an uncommon analytical rigor to her creative work.
After graduate school, she relocated to South Africa, where an audition with an agent opened the door to her first professional screen role. She later deepened her craft in the UK, enrolling at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) in 2020 to work toward an MFA in Professional Acting.
Thomas is best known for portraying Young Agatha Danbury in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, and has also appeared in Redeeming Love (Rebecca), She Taught Love (Mali Waters), and Fall 2: Deadpoint (Luce), alongside TV appearances such as The Kelly Clarkson Show.
