Asad Qizilbash

Asad Qizilbash is a senior Sony Interactive Entertainment executive best known for helping push PlayStation’s biggest game worlds into film and television. He serves as Senior Vice President of Product within the Studio Business Group and leads PlayStation Productions, the label focused on screen adaptations of SIE franchises.

After more than 18 years with SIE, Qizilbash became a key architect of the company’s expansion beyond gaming. In 2019, he helped launch PlayStation Productions, setting up a pipeline to translate interactive brands into mainstream entertainment. Under his leadership, the division has delivered high-profile projects including Uncharted (2022) and HBO’s The Last of Us (2023–present), a breakout hit that topped viewing records on HBO Max in parts of Europe and Latin America.

Alongside his screen work, Qizilbash oversees portfolio and strategy planning for PlayStation Studios’ exclusive game slate. Earlier in his career, he led games marketing, shaping PlayStation’s titles into global franchises with reach across multiple media.

For his executive producing work on The Last of Us, Qizilbash has earned multiple Primetime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Drama Series, underscoring his growing influence at the intersection of games and prestige TV.
