Austin Haynes
Austin Haynes (also credited as 奥斯汀·海恩斯) is a British screen actor from Leeds, England, born July 3, 2008. He has quickly built a reputation for natural, grounded performances across film and television, emerging as one of the most in-demand young talents of his generation.
After taking up acting, Haynes secured his first TV casting within a year, joining the BBC One drama The A Word as Olly Chapman. The role helped open doors to steady work, with Haynes moving fluidly between intimate character pieces and larger studio productions.
He is widely recognized for portraying Thomas Waterbury in The Railway Children Return (2022), a standout credit that introduced him to a broader international audience. His film work also includes The Boys in the Boat (as Joe’s Grandson), Giant (Trev), Jackdaw (Boy), The Duke (Scruffy Little Boy), Unforgivable (Tom McKinney), Good Boy (Young Boy), and Special Measures (Callum Hughes).
Outside acting, Haynes is a keen guitarist. One of his earliest breakout moments came in a widely seen 2020 Christmas Co-op advertisement, where he busked on the street to Oasis’ “Round Are Way” alongside his younger brother, Rocco.
