Aya Cash

Aya Cash (also credited as Aya Rachel Cash; 아야 캐쉬; アヤ・レイチェル・キャッシュ) is an American screen actress born on July 13, 1982, in San Francisco, California. Known for sharp comedic timing and grounded dramatic work, she has built a career across independent film and major studio projects.

Cash comes from a family steeped in arts and achievement: she is the daughter of poet and novelist Kim Addonizio and Buddhist teacher Eugene Cash. Her lineage also includes tennis champion Pauline Betz Addie and sportswriter Bob Addie, a background that reflects both creative and competitive influences.

Her film credits span a wide range of roles, from early appearances like Deception to notable turns in Sleepwalk with Me (Hannah), Begin Again (Jenny), and The Wolf of Wall Street (Janet, Jordan’s assistant). She has also appeared in titles such as Off Jackson Avenue, The Happy House, The Young Wife, and The Floaters.

In 2014, IndieWire highlighted Cash as one of the “10 comic actresses who deserve a big-screen leading role,” underscoring her reputation as a performer with leading-lady presence and standout versatility.
