Ben Schnetzer

Ben Schnetzer (born February 8, 1990) is an American screen actor from New York City. Raised in a performing-arts household as the son of actors Stephen Schnetzer and Nancy Snyder, he developed an early connection to the stage and screen before refining his craft abroad.

Schnetzer trained at London’s Guildhall School of Music and Drama, a foundation that helped shape his precise, character-driven approach. He began building momentum in 2010 with television work, including an appearance on Law & Order and a co-starring role on the series Happy Town.

He gained wider recognition playing Max Vandenburg in the film adaptation of The Book Thief (2013), then continued to choose varied projects that showcased his range—portraying activist Mark Ashton in Pride, appearing in The Riot Club, and stepping into blockbuster territory as Khadgar in Warcraft. Other notable credits include Goat, Edgar Allan Poe: Buried Alive, The Yellow Tie, and On Broadway.
