Ben Schwartz
Ben Schwartz (also credited as Benjamin Schwartz) is an American actor, comedian, and voice performer born on September 15, 1981, in New York City. Known for quick-witted comedy and scene-stealing energy, he has built a career that moves easily between live-action roles and animated favorites.
Schwartz became widely recognized for his recurring turn as Jean-Ralphio Saperstein on NBC’s Parks and Recreation, then expanded his profile with a starring role as Clyde Oberholt on Showtime’s House of Lies—including the special House of Lies Live as himself. He also made a strong impression in web comedy through frequent appearances on CollegeHumor’s Jake and Amir.
On screen, Schwartz’s film work includes Peep World (as Nathan), Renfield (as Tedward Lobo), and earlier credits such as I Hate Valentine’s Day and New York City Serenade. On television, he headlined Netflix’s Space Force and Apple TV+’s mystery-comedy The Afterparty.
As a voice actor, he’s become a modern staple—voicing Sonic in the blockbuster Sonic the Hedgehog film series (including Sonic the Hedgehog 3), as well as roles in animation like Turbo. His blend of improvisational charm and vocal versatility keeps him in demand across genres and platforms.
