BenDavid Grabinski
BenDavid Grabinski (born February 12, 1983, in Lincoln, Nebraska) is an American screenwriter, director, producer, and TV showrunner known for genre-savvy storytelling that blends comedy with darker, high-concept twists.
He made his feature directing debut with the 2021 comedy-thriller Happily, a sharp, offbeat film led by Joel McHale and Kerry Bishé. The movie helped establish Grabinski as a filmmaker comfortable balancing relationship humor with suspense and unexpected turns.
Continuing that momentum, Grabinski wrote and directed the buddy comedy Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice (2026), starring Vince Vaughn, James Marsden, and Eiza González. The film was selected to headline the 2026 South by Southwest Film & TV Festival on March 14, 2026, and is distributed by Hulu.
Across film and television, Grabinski has built a reputation for character-driven comedy with a cinematic edge, making him a notable voice among contemporary American screen artists.
