Bill Lawrence
Bill Lawrence (born December 26, 1968, in Ridgefield, Connecticut) is an American screen artist best known for writing, with a career that spans television comedy, pop-culture satire, and the occasional on-screen cameo. Recognized for his sharp character work and playful sense of humor, Lawrence has built a reputation for stories that balance heart with fast, joke-dense pacing.
While he is primarily associated with writing, his credits also reflect a hands-on presence in entertainment. He has appeared as himself in projects such as It’s a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie and Off Camera with Sam Jones, and he has been featured in documentary-style programming like E! True Hollywood Story.
Lawrence’s connection to Scrubs extends beyond the writers’ room: he shows up in multiple small roles, including a cafeteria client, a justice of the peace, and even the janitor. He also contributed voice work, uncredited, as the Shadowy Figure on the animated series Clone High, and is linked to the comedy feature Slam Dunk Ernest as “Krader Stuntman.”
