Blythe Danner

Blythe Danner (born February 3, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American screen and stage actress known for her poised presence and sharp emotional range. Also credited in some markets as بلایث دانر, she has built a long-running career across film and television.

Danner is widely recognized as Dina Byrnes in the hit comedies Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers, bringing warmth and wit to the role. Her film work also includes Forces of Nature, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2, and notable dramatic turns in The Prince of Tides and The Great Santini.

On the genre side, she appeared in The X-Files and the sci‑fi feature Futureworld, underscoring her versatility across styles and eras. Off-screen, she is the mother of actress Gwyneth Paltrow and director Jake Paltrow.
