Bonnie Hunt
Bonnie Hunt (born September 22, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois) is an American screen artist known for her warm, quick-witted presence as an actress, comedian, writer, director, producer, and TV host. She built a career that moves easily between heartfelt drama and crowd-pleasing comedy, often bringing an approachable, grounded energy to her characters.
On film, Hunt has appeared in acclaimed titles such as Rain Man as Sally Dibbs and The Green Mile as Jan Edgecomb, while also becoming a familiar face in family favorites including Beethoven's 2nd as Alice Newton and Cheaper by the Dozen as Kate Baker. Her work frequently highlights empathy and humor, making her a reliable anchor in ensemble casts.
Hunt has also left a strong mark in animation, voicing Sally Carrera in Pixar’s Cars, as well as roles in Monsters, Inc. (Flint) and Toy Story 3 (Dolly). She expanded her creative footprint behind the camera too, notably with Return to Me, where she starred as Megan Dayton and helped shape the film’s romantic, human-scale tone.
