Brett Goldstein

Brett Goldstein (born July 17, 1980, in Sutton, London) is a British screen artist best known for acting, while also working across comedy, writing, producing, and podcasting. He rose to global prominence as the blunt-but-beloved Roy Kent on Apple TV+’s Ted Lasso, a performance that earned him Primetime Emmy wins for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in each of the show’s first two seasons.

Beyond acting, Goldstein has helped shape modern TV comedy from behind the camera. He co-created the series Shrinking (2023), expanding his reputation as a storyteller with a sharp ear for character-driven humor and emotional honesty.

His film and TV credits span indie comedies and genre work, including SuperBob (as Bob), Howl (as David), and appearances in projects like Corner Boys and Derek Special (as Tom). He also stepped into the Marvel spotlight in Thor: Love and Thunder as Hercules.

Continuing to broaden his range, Goldstein voices Roland in The Garfield Movie and appears as himself in Hannah Waddingham: Home for Christmas, underscoring a career that moves easily between comedy, performance, and pop-culture franchises.
