Brian Grazer
Brian Grazer (also credited as Brian Thomas Grazer) is an American film and television producer born on July 12, 1951, in Los Angeles, California. Known for building big, audience-driven projects, he has become one of Hollywood’s most recognizable producing voices across both cinema and TV.
In 1986, Grazer co-founded Imagine Entertainment with director Ron Howard, launching a long-running partnership that has helped generate blockbuster-scale results. Together, their productions have earned global box-office totals exceeding $15 billion, reflecting a career shaped by mainstream appeal and awards-season credibility.
Grazer has received four personal Academy Award nominations as a producer for Splash, Apollo 13, A Beautiful Mind, and Frost/Nixon. He won the Oscar for Best Picture in 2002 for A Beautiful Mind (shared with Howard), while Imagine’s wider slate has amassed dozens of Oscar and Emmy nominations.
Beyond producing, Grazer appears as himself in several behind-the-scenes and documentary-style credits, including Lost Moon: The Triumph of Apollo 13 and Inside a Beautiful Mind. In 2007, Time named him among the world’s 100 most influential people.
