Brian K. Vaughan
Brian K. Vaughan (born July 17, 1976, in Cleveland, Ohio) is an American writer celebrated for shaping modern comics and bringing a TV-savvy sense of pacing and character to genre storytelling.
Vaughan is widely recognized for landmark series such as Y: The Last Man and Ex Machina, both praised for blending big ideas with intimate, human stakes. He also helped define youth-driven superhero drama with Runaways, while projects like Pride of Baghdad showcased his range and willingness to tackle ambitious themes.
In recent years, his work on the epic space-fantasy saga Saga has further cemented his reputation as a leading voice in contemporary comics, known for emotional resonance, sharp dialogue, and inventive world-building.
