Brian Posehn

Brian Posehn (also credited as Brian Edmund Posehn) is an American screen performer, voice actor, comedian, and musician born on July 6, 1966, in Sacramento, California. Recognizable for his tall frame, dry delivery, and pop-culture savvy humor, Posehn has built a career that moves easily between stand-up, sketch comedy, and character acting.

He became widely known through television, playing mail clerk Kevin Liotta on NBC’s Just Shoot Me!. Posehn also helped shape modern sketch comedy as a performer and writer on HBO’s cult favorite Mr. Show, where his offbeat timing fit perfectly with the show’s inventive style. He later reached new audiences as Brian Spukowski on Comedy Central’s The Sarah Silverman Program.

Beyond TV, Posehn’s film work spans comedies, genre projects, and voice roles. His credits include Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (Priest), Spy School (Grissom), and the animated hit Surf’s Up as the voice of Glen Maverick. He’s also appeared as himself in comedy and behind-the-scenes titles such as The Comedians of Comedy: Live at The Troubadour and Super High Me.

With a distinctive presence and a résumé that bridges mainstream and cult comedy, Posehn remains a familiar face—and voice—across film, television, and live performance.
