Callum Keith Rennie

Callum Keith Rennie (born September 14, 1960, in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, England) is a British-born Canadian actor based in British Columbia, celebrated for intense, offbeat characters across film and television. He is also credited as Callum Rennie and appears in Chinese as 卡倫·基斯·雷尼.

Rennie’s breakout arrived with the cult music mockumentary Hard Core Logo (1996), where his punk-rocker turn as Billy Tallent (William Boisy) made him a standout. He broadened his profile soon after with a major TV role as Detective Stanley Raymond Kowalski on Due South (Seasons 3–4), and earned a Genie Award for supporting work in Don McKellar’s Last Night (1998).

His screen career spans acclaimed genre and prestige series, including Leoben Conoy on Battlestar Galactica, Lew Ashby on Californication, Rick Felder on The Killing, Gary Connell on The Man in the High Castle, Karl Malus on Jessica Jones, and Commander Rayner on Star Trek: Discovery (2024). He also won a Gemini Award for Shattered and a second Genie Award for Normal (2007), alongside multiple Leo Awards.

On the film side, Rennie is widely recognized for roles in Memento, eXistenZ, Snow Cake, The Butterfly Effect, and The X-Files: I Want to Believe, cementing a reputation for memorable supporting turns that elevate ensemble casts.
