Carlo Rota
Carlo Rota (also credited as Carlo D. Rota, Carlos Rota, and Carlo Dante Rota) is a London-born actor whose career spans British, Canadian, and American film and television. Born April 17, 1961, he has built a reputation for sharp character work across crime dramas, thrillers, and comedy.
Rota is widely recognized for recurring roles such as contractor Yasir Hamoudi on Little Mosque on the Prairie, systems analyst Morris O’Brian on FOX’s 24, Emilio Solano on Jane the Virgin, and informant Mick Schtoppel on La Femme Nikita. He has also become a familiar face through guest appearances on major series including Breaking Bad, NCIS: Los Angeles, CSI: NY, Castle, The Mentalist, Bones, and Grimm.
On the film side, Rota’s credits include Saw V (as Charles, a journalist), The Boondock Saints (Yakavetta), Trigger Point (Dwight Logan), Cliffs of Freedom (Mustapha Bey), Me Time (Alberto), and Young at Heart (Bartender). Drawing on experience outside acting, he also hosted CBC’s Great Canadian Food Show, adding presenter skills to his versatile screen profile.
