Charles Cottier
Charles Cottier (born October 27, 1992, in Brisbane, Australia) is an Australian screen actor known for bringing an easy authenticity to both drama and genre projects. Drawn to performing from an early age, he spent childhood years making home videos and chasing the feeling of being on camera.
Raised in a tight-knit household with two brothers, Cottier was the middle sibling and quickly found a creative outlet in acting. He began formal training at 12 with The Australian Acting Academy, then carried that momentum through school, graduating in 2009 after serving as drama captain.
In 2010, he stepped into the long-running series Home and Away as Dexter Walker, taking over the role previously played by Tom Green—an early career milestone that helped introduce him to a wide audience. Alongside acting, he also nurtures a strong connection to music, a passion shaped by his family background.
His screen credits span thrillers, romance, and action, including The Demon Disorder (Phillip Reilly), The Curious Case of Dolphin Bay (Nate), Deathkeeper (Luke), My Birthday Romance (Kyle), Dead Eyes (Eric), and Seven Snipers (Junior), plus Dunny Derby: The Legend of Derek Dallas & The Underbogs (Shane Mariano).
