Charlie Carver

Charlie Carver (also credited as Charles Carver Martensen) is an American screen actor born on July 31, 1988, in San Francisco, California. Raised in a family shaped by medicine, writing, philanthropy, and community work, he grew up alongside his identical twin brother, Max—famously arriving minutes apart yet on different calendar days.

After relocating in childhood to a small town in California’s Napa Valley, Carver first discovered acting through school productions. That early spark led him to formal training at ACT San Francisco, Interlochen Arts Academy, and the University of Southern California, along with further study at the Los Angeles studio The Imagined Life.

Carver has built a varied on-screen résumé across comedy, drama, and independent film. His notable credits include FRED 3: Camp Fred (Hugh Thompson), Underdogs (John Handon III), Bad Ass 2: Bad Asses (Eric), and I Am Michael (Tyler).

Other highlights range from stage-to-screen classics like A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Snug) to mainstream comedy in Fist Fight (Nathaniel), plus roles in Restless Virgins (Dylan) and the documentary appearance Stonewall Outloud as himself.
