Chin Han

Chin Han (also credited as Chin-han Ng; 黄经汉; 친 한) is a Singapore-born actor who has built a cross-cultural career spanning Asia and Hollywood. Born on November 27, 1969, in Singapore, he is known for bringing calm authority and sharp intensity to both blockbuster franchises and character-driven stories.

He began performing as a teenager on stage, taking on classic plays by writers such as Molière and Shakespeare. Early screen work in Singapore included a breakthrough role on the country’s first English-language television drama, Masters of the Sea, which helped establish him as a versatile leading presence.

Chin Han made his U.S. feature debut with Blindness in 1998 and later expanded into international film and television, including notable series work such as Marco Polo. Now based in Los Angeles, he continues to move fluidly between global productions.

His best-known credits include The Dark Knight (Lau), 2012 (Tenzin), Captain America: The Winter Soldier (Councilman Yen), Independence Day: Resurgence (Commander Jiang Lao), 3 Needles (Soldier Xuan), The Sixth Gun (Chow), A Different Sun (Zu Qing), and Mortal Kombat II (Shang Tsung).
