Chris Evans

Chris Evans (also credited as Christopher Robert Evans) is an American screen actor born on June 13, 1981, in Boston, Massachusetts. He first broke through in early 2000s film and TV, quickly becoming a recognizable leading man after the teen spoof Not Another Teen Movie as Jake Wyler.

Evans built momentum with genre and comic-book adaptations, including Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer as Johnny Storm / Human Torch and voice work as Casey Jones in TMNT. He also showed range in projects like Sunshine (as Mace) and Street Kings (as Detective Paul Diskant), balancing action intensity with grounded character work.

Global fame arrived when he suited up as Steve Rogers in Captain America: The First Avenger, a role he carried across the Marvel era, including The Avengers. The long-running success of those films helped make him one of the most commercially bankable actors of his generation.

Beyond blockbuster franchises, Evans has continued to diversify with dramatic and mystery-driven performances, along with occasional work behind the camera. Whether anchoring large-scale ensemble spectacles or smaller, character-focused stories, he remains a defining modern Hollywood star.
