Chris Prynoski
Chris Prynoski (born November 1, 1971, in Bordentown, New Jersey) is an American screen artist and producer best known for helping shape modern adult animation through his work behind the scenes and on the mic. Also credited in Japanese as クリス・プリノスキ, he has become a familiar name to fans who follow the craft of animation as closely as the finished shows.
Prynoski is widely recognized for his creative presence in animation culture, appearing as himself in projects that explore the medium and its makers. His on-camera and interview credits include MTV’s Downtown: Behind The Scenes (as the show’s creator), Happy Happy Joy Joy: The Ren & Stimpy Story, and Behind The Elephant, reflecting a career rooted in both production leadership and animation history.
As a voice performer, he has contributed character work across franchises and formats. He voiced multiple roles in Smurfs—including Quiet Smurf, Way Back There Smurf, and Shark Taming Smurf—and lent his voice to The Legend of Vox Machina as the Beastmaster.
