Christopher DeFaria
Christopher DeFaria (also credited as Chris DeFaria) is an American producer and production manager born on May 20, 1959, in San Francisco, California. Over a wide-ranging career behind the camera, he has been associated with major modern productions including Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), Gravity (2013), and Happy Feet Two (2011).
Long before his producing work, DeFaria became part of pop-culture history as a child voice performer in the Peanuts universe. He voiced Peppermint Patty across multiple TV specials, including It Was a Short Summer, Charlie Brown, Play It Again, Charlie Brown, There’s No Time for Love, Charlie Brown (uncredited), and A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, and brought the character to the feature film Snoopy, Come Home. He also voiced Pig-Pen in A Boy Named Charlie Brown.
A UCLA graduate, DeFaria is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Writers Guild of America. He is also a founding member of FilmAid International, reflecting a commitment to film’s impact beyond entertainment. In addition, he has appeared as himself in making-of projects such as Tremors: Making Perfection and Popcorn and Jellybeans: Making a Thanksgiving Classic.
