Christopher Miller

Christopher Miller (also credited as Chris Miller and クリス・ミラー) is an American filmmaker and producer born on September 23, 1975, in Everett, Washington. Best known for his long-running creative partnership with Phil Lord, Miller has helped shape a modern wave of smart, fast-paced comedy across animation and live action.

He first gained major attention through the adult animated series Clone High, which he co-created and voiced, before moving into feature filmmaking. Together, Lord and Miller wrote and directed the animated hit Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and later delivered the inventive, blockbuster-friendly style of The Lego Movie. They also brought that energy to live action by directing 21 Jump Street and its sequel 22 Jump Street.

Miller’s influence extends into the acclaimed Spider-Verse films, including an Academy Award win for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and continued recognition for the follow-up. He’s also contributed to these projects on-screen and behind the mic, with voice work in titles like The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

Beyond film, Miller has been involved with notable TV projects such as The Last Man on Earth, Unikitty!, and Apple TV+’s The Afterparty, underscoring his range across formats and audiences.
