Domingo built a formidable theater reputation early, appearing on Broadway in Well and the genre-bending musical Passing Strange, where he played multiple roles (including Mr. Franklin/Joop/Mr. Venus). His performance as Mr. Bones in The Scottsboro Boys brought major awards attention on both Broadway and the West End, and he later contributed behind the scenes by writing the book for Summer: The Donna Summer Musical.

On screen, he broke through with a long-running turn as Victor Strand on AMC’s Fear the Walking Dead, then won an Emmy for his guest role as Ali on HBO’s Euphoria. His film work ranges from Lincoln (as Private Harold Green) to voice performances like Unicron in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts and Arthur Gillman in Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken.

Domingo’s recent acclaim includes portraying Bayard Rustin in Rustin, alongside standout appearances in The Color Purple (as Mister) and Drive-Away Dolls. Whether leading prestige dramas or elevating ensemble casts, he’s become one of the most distinctive performers of his generation.
