Cristo Fernández

Cristo Fernández (born January 27, 1991, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico) is a Mexican screen actor whose path to performance began far from a set. As a teenager he pursued football seriously, joining Guadalajara’s Club Deportivo Estudiantes Tecos at 15, before a knee injury cut that dream short and pushed him toward a new direction.

With his parents’ encouragement, Fernández leaned into a second calling while in college and discovered a lasting passion for acting. A move to London helped him deepen his craft, and early work in independent projects opened the door to bigger opportunities—most notably his casting in the Apple TV+ comedy series Ted Lasso, which introduced him to a global audience.

On screen, Fernández has mixed studio blockbusters with character-driven roles. His credits include Spider-Man: No Way Home (Bartender), Immigrant Mother (Jose Arturo), The Water (Man from the lake), Don’t Go to School Tomorrow (Rafa/Cholo Líder), and Las Tres Sisters (Kin). He has also contributed voice work, including Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (Wheeljack) and The Casagrandes Movie (Chipiri).

Beyond acting, he founded the production company Espectro MX Films. In 2024 he appeared in State Farm’s “Bundle is Life” campaign alongside Patrick Mahomes, and he also features in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 as Pablo/Juan.
