Dana Ledoux Miller
Dana Ledoux Miller is a Samoan screenwriter, producer, director, and showrunner whose work spans major studio animation and prestige television. Known primarily for writing, she has built a career centered on character-driven storytelling and high-stakes drama across multiple formats.
At Walt Disney Animation Studios, Ledoux Miller co-wrote and co-directed Moana 2, expanding the world of the blockbuster franchise. She also went on to contribute to Disney’s live-action Moana project, bringing continuity and cultural perspective to one of the studio’s most recognizable modern properties.
On the series side, she served as co-showrunner of Netflix’s limited series Thai Cave Rescue, produced by SKG and filmmaker Jon M. Chu. Her television writing credits include AMC’s Kevin Can F**k Himself and Lodge 49, ABC’s Designated Survivor, Netflix’s Narcos, and HBO’s The Newsroom. She was also an executive producer on Last Resort, developed for Quibi through the Break the Room Initiative.
Beyond her screen work, Ledoux Miller co-founded the nonprofit Pasifika Entertainment Advancement Komiti (PEAK), supporting greater Pasifika representation in entertainment. She is a graduate of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.
