Daniel Craig (also credited as Daniel Wroughton Craig) is an English actor born on March 2, 1968, in Chester, Cheshire. He rose to global prominence as James Bond, redefining the iconic spy across five films, from Casino Royale to No Time to Die, in a run praised for its grit, intensity, and emotional weight.
Craig trained with London’s National Youth Theatre and later graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1991. He began building his reputation on stage before moving into screen work, debuting in The Power of One and breaking through in the acclaimed series Our Friends in the North. By the late 1990s and early 2000s, he was a sought-after supporting presence in films such as Elizabeth (as John Ballard), Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (as Alex West), Road to Perdition (as Connor Rooney), and Munich (as Steve).
