Daphne Zuniga

Daphne Zuniga (also credited as Daphne Eurydice Zuniga) is an American screen actress born on October 28, 1962, in San Francisco, California. Known for a career that moves easily between film and television, she became a familiar face in pop culture through a mix of sharp comedy, genre thrills, and long-running series work.

Zuniga’s early film years began in horror, first appearing in The Dorm That Dripped Blood (1982) and later taking a leading role in The Initiation (1984). She soon pivoted into mainstream comedies, including Rob Reiner’s The Sure Thing (1985) as Alison Bradbury, and cult favorites like Modern Girls and Spaceballs, where her Princess Vespa remains one of her signature performances.

Her range also includes television movies and science-fiction horror, notably Stone Pillow opposite Lucille Ball and The Fly II (1989) as Beth Logan. Additional credits span Vision Quest, Christmas Do-Over, Occupy Alice, Cityscrapes: Los Angeles, and Staying Together.

On television, Zuniga achieved major visibility as Jo Reynolds on Melrose Place (1992–1996), later returning to prime-time drama as Victoria Davis on One Tree Hill and appearing on the series Beautiful People as Lynn Kerr.
