David Corenswet

David Corenswet (also credited as David Packard Corenswet) is an American screen actor born on July 8, 1993, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Trained at Juilliard, he graduated in 2016 and soon transitioned into professional television work, building early momentum through guest roles, including an appearance on House of Cards.

Corenswet’s breakthrough arrived via streaming, where he took on prominent lead parts in Ryan Murphy’s Netflix series The Politician (2019–2020) and Hollywood (2020). Those performances helped establish him as a versatile presence—equally comfortable with sharp satire and classic, character-driven drama.

In 2022, he expanded his film and prestige-TV résumé with features such as Look Both Ways and Ti West’s Pearl, and appeared in HBO’s acclaimed miniseries We Own This City. He continued that run with notable work in 2024, including Twisters (as Scott) and the miniseries Lady in the Lake.

Corenswet’s profile surged further when he was cast as the iconic title hero in James Gunn’s DC Universe film Superman (2025). Alongside credits like The Sunlit Night, The Greatest Hits, and Affairs of State, he has steadily shaped a career defined by range, momentum, and leading-man appeal.
