David Dencik

David Dencik (born October 31, 1974, in Stockholm, Sweden) is a Swedish-Danish screen actor celebrated for intense, detail-rich performances across Scandinavian and international productions. Working fluently in Swedish and Danish cinema, he has also become a familiar face in major English-language films and prestige TV.

Dencik’s global profile grew through high-impact roles in titles such as Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011) and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011), followed by acclaimed series including Top of the Lake (2017), McMafia (2018), and HBO’s Chernobyl (2019). He later joined the James Bond universe with No Time to Die (2021), underscoring his range from grounded drama to blockbuster storytelling.

In the Nordic awards circuit, Dencik is a two-time Robert Award winner—honored for leading work in A Soap (2006) and for a supporting television performance in The Chestnut Man (2021). He also received Sweden’s Guldbagge Award for Best Supporting Actor for The Perfect Patient (2019), alongside multiple Bodil nominations.
