David Ellison
David Ellison (born January 9, 1983, in Santa Clara, California) is an American producer and media executive best known for building Skydance into a major Hollywood force. In August 2025, he became chairman and CEO of Paramount Skydance, marking a new chapter in his leadership at the top of a global studio brand.
Ellison founded Skydance Media in 2006 and led the company as CEO through 2025, helping shape a slate built on large-scale, filmmaker-driven entertainment. His producing credits include Terminator Genisys (2015), Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (2015), Life (2017), and Top Gun: Maverick (2022), the latter earning an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture.
Before moving behind the camera, Ellison also appeared as an actor in projects such as Flyboys, The Chumscrubber, and Hole in One, along with TV work including Leverage and Juliet Bravo. He is the son of Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison.
