David Haig
David Haig (born September 20, 1955, in Aldershot, Hampshire, England) is an English screen and stage artist celebrated for his range as both an actor and writer. An Olivier Award-winning performer and a FIPA Award-winning writer, Haig has built a reputation for moving effortlessly between drama, wry serio-comedy, and full-blooded comedy.
Across the West End and beyond, he has taken leading roles that showcase an ability to inhabit characters from sharply different backgrounds and social worlds. That versatility has also made him a familiar presence on television and in film, where his work spans prestige drama, thrillers, and popular entertainment.
Among his notable screen credits are Two Weeks Notice as Howard Wade, My Boy Jack as Rudyard Kipling, and The 39 Steps as Sir George Sinclair. He has also appeared in titles such as Timequest (Clint Hill), Mo (Jon Norton), Crime and Punishment (Luzhin), The Cold War Killers (Colin Jenkins), and There’s Something About Romcoms as himself.
