Dexter Sol Ansell

Dexter Sol Ansell (also credited as Dexter Ansell) is an English screen actor from Leeds, Yorkshire, born on September 16, 2014. Emerging as one of the most promising young performers of his generation, he has quickly built a résumé that spans prestige TV, studio franchises, and family features.

Ansell’s acting career began early: at just four, he landed a role on ITV’s long-running soap Emmerdale as Lucas Taylor. He then took on darker material as David Saunders in Sky’s eerie thriller series The Midwich Cuckoos, showcasing a maturity beyond his years.

On film, he played Buster in Netflix’s holiday comedy Christmas on Mistletoe Farm (directed by Debbie Isitt) and appeared as Young Coriolanus Snow in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. His credits also include Robin and the Hoods (as Little Dan), the horror feature The Moor (as Danny), and the upcoming Here (directed by Robert Zemeckis).

Looking ahead, Ansell has been cast as Egg in HBO’s A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, based on George R. R. Martin’s world. He also wrapped filming on 500 Miles (as Charlie), a book adaptation slated for a 2026 cinema release.
