Diane Morgan

Diane Morgan (born October 5, 1975, in Bolton, Greater Manchester) is an English actor, comedian, and writer whose work blends sharp character comedy with deadpan satire. She is widely recognized by audiences for her on-screen persona Philomena Cunk, a brilliantly misguided “documentary” presenter who turns serious subjects into hilariously skewed interviews and commentary.

Morgan’s Cunk breakthrough came via Charlie Brooker’s satire universe, appearing as Philomena Cunk on Charlie Brooker’s Antiviral Wipe and later across the Weekly Wipe era. The character expanded into standalone mockumentaries including Cunk on Britain, Cunk on Earth, and the extended special Cunk on Life, cementing Morgan as a distinctive voice in modern British comedy.

Beyond Cunk, Morgan has built a versatile screen career, from ensemble sitcom work to darker comedy. She is also the creator and star of the BBC comedy Mandy (including We Wish You a Mandy Christmas), and has appeared in high-profile projects such as Death to 2021 as Gemma Nerrick. Her credits also include voice work like Rogue Trooper and roles in titles such as Paradise Males.
