Dianne Doan

Dianne Doan (also credited as دیان دوآن and دایان دوآن) is a Canadian screen actress of Vietnamese heritage, born September 8, 1990, in Abbotsford, British Columbia. She discovered a passion for performance in high school after choosing drama as an elective, building on disciplined dance training she began at age 10.

Before her on-screen breakthrough, Doan established herself as a professional dancer, appearing in the opening ceremony of the 2010 Winter Olympics and performing as a back-up dancer for Michael Bublé. Her movement background also carried into music video work for pop acts including Big Time Rush and Marianas Trench.

Doan became widely recognized for playing Lonnie—the daughter of Mulan and Li Shang—in Disney’s Descendants, returning for Descendants 2. She continued expanding her range with recurring television roles, notably as Yidu on Vikings, while also appearing in projects such as Better Half, Reunion, and Our Home Here.

In 2017, she joined Cinemax’s martial-arts drama Warrior as Mai Ling, a series produced by Justin Lin and inspired by a concept from Bruce Lee. Doan remains a dynamic presence across film and TV, with upcoming work including The Boys Presents: Varsity, where she is set to play the superhero Nyla.
