Dina Spybey-Waters (also credited as Dina Spybey and Dina Waters) is an American screen actress born on August 29, 1965, in Columbus, Ohio. After marrying director Mark Waters in 2000, she began using the hyphenated professional name that many fans recognize today.

Spybey-Waters has built a steady career across more than two decades of film work, often bringing sharp timing and grounded warmth to supporting roles. Her notable movie credits include Freaky Friday (Dottie Robertson), The Haunted Mansion (Emma), The First Wives Club (Young Elise), John Q (Debby Utley), Just Like Heaven (Abby Brody), Striptease (Monique, Jr.), SubUrbia (Bee-Bee), and Full Frontal (Third Fired Employee).

On television, she is widely remembered for playing Tracy Montrose Blair during the first season of Six Feet Under. She also held recurring or regular roles on Remember WENN, Men Behaving Badly, and Greg the Bunny, and made a standout guest appearance on Frasier as Nanette Guzman—Frasier Crane’s first wife—one of only three actresses to portray the character across Cheers and Frasier.

Raised in Columbus, Spybey-Waters attended Winterset Elementary, Ridgeview Junior High, Centennial High School, and later studied at The Ohio State University, laying local roots that preceded her prolific on-screen run.
