Drew Pearce
Drew Pearce (born August 24, 1975, in Fife, Scotland) is a British screen artist best known for writing sharp, high-concept action and genre stories. He has become a go-to name for blockbuster franchises, with credits spanning Iron Man 3, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, and 2024’s The Fall Guy.
Pearce first drew attention in the UK by creating the comedy series No Heroics, showing an early knack for character-driven humor inside heightened worlds. He later expanded his Marvel footprint by writing and directing the acclaimed short All Hail the King, starring Ben Kingsley—an important connective piece that helped shape later storytelling around the “Mandarin” mythology.
In 2018, Pearce stepped behind the camera for his feature directorial debut Hotel Artemis, a near-future thriller set in a clandestine hospital for criminals and led by Jodie Foster. He has also directed music videos, bringing the same kinetic style to artists including Vampire Weekend, Miles Kane, and Father John Misty.
Beyond film and TV, Pearce founded the production company Point of No Return in 2019, developing projects such as the Dave Bautista thriller Cooler and the sci-fi legal drama Dolly. He has also appeared as himself in Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe.
