Ehren Kruger

Ehren Kruger (born October 5, 1972, in Alexandria, Virginia) is an American screenwriter and producer known for shaping big-studio thrillers and effects-driven franchises. With a knack for propulsive pacing and high-stakes spectacle, Kruger has become a recognizable name in modern blockbuster storytelling.

He is widely associated with the original Transformers film run, writing three entries: Revenge of the Fallen, Dark of the Moon, and Age of Extinction. Kruger also helped bring international hits to U.S. audiences through major adaptations, including the American remake of The Ring and its sequel The Ring Two, as well as the live-action American take on Ghost in the Shell.

Beyond franchise work, Kruger’s craft has been recognized at the highest level: his contributions to Top Gun: Maverick earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay. His behind-the-scenes presence is also reflected in documentary and featurette appearances, including Still Screaming and other making-of retrospectives where he appears as himself.
