Elisabeth Shue
Elisabeth Shue (also credited as Elisabeth Judson Shue and known as Lisa Shue) is an American screen actor born October 6, 1963, in Wilmington, Delaware. With an enduring career across studio hits and character-driven dramas, she’s recognized for bringing warmth, intelligence, and edge to a wide range of roles.
Shue broke through in the 1980s with crowd-pleasers such as The Karate Kid (as Ali Mills) and later stepped into the Back to the Future universe as Jennifer in Part II and Part III. Her filmography spans glossy thrillers and genre fare, including The Saint (Emma Russell), Hide and Seek, and other mainstream features that kept her a familiar presence on big screens.
Her most acclaimed work includes Leaving Las Vegas, where her performance as Sera earned major awards attention, including an Academy Award nomination, alongside Golden Globe and BAFTA recognition. She also took on challenging independent material, notably Mysterious Skin, demonstrating a willingness to pursue emotionally complex stories.
On television, Shue reached a new audience as Julie Finlay on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2012–2015) and later appeared as a series regular in Amazon’s The Boys (2019). Known internationally under names such as الیزابت شو, she remains a versatile figure in American film and TV.
