Eric Kripke

Eric Kripke (born April 24, 1974, in Toledo, Ohio) is an American screenwriter, director, and producer whose work has helped shape modern genre television. Best known for his writing-driven approach to character, mythology, and dark humor, Kripke has become a key creative voice in contemporary sci-fi, horror, and superhero storytelling.

He rose to prominence as the creator of Supernatural, the long-running series that built a devoted global fanbase through its blend of road-trip Americana, demon lore, and emotional stakes. Kripke later expanded his signature style into sharper satire with The Boys, a subversive take on superhero culture, and continued that universe with the spin-off Gen V.

Beyond showrunning and writing, Kripke has appeared in and around his own projects, including the behind-the-scenes series Prime Rewind: Inside The Boys as himself, and an uncredited voice cameo in The Boys. He is also known internationally under alternate renderings of his name, including 에릭 크립키 and Ерік Кріпке.
