Eric Pearson
Eric Pearson (born December 14, 1984) is an American screenwriter whose career has become closely associated with modern franchise storytelling, especially within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Known for balancing character-driven humor with big-scale action, Pearson has helped shape the tone of several high-profile studio releases.
He first gained visibility through Marvel Studios’ Marvel One-Shots, writing multiple short films that expanded the MCU between theatrical entries. That work paved the way to feature assignments, including Thor: Ragnarok (2017) and Black Widow (2021), where his scripts supported both spectacle and sharper character beats.
Beyond Marvel, Pearson has contributed to major tentpoles such as Godzilla vs. Kong (2021) and the animated Transformers One (2024). He has also appeared on screen as himself in Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe, reflecting his behind-the-scenes role in building interconnected cinematic worlds.
Continuing his momentum, Pearson is credited on upcoming Marvel projects including Thunderbolts* (2025) and The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025), reinforcing his status as a go-to writer for blockbuster franchises.
