Eric Wareheim
Eric Wareheim (born April 7, 1976, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American screen artist known for acting, comedy, and a distinctly offbeat creative voice. Rising from the alternative comedy scene, he became widely recognized as one half of the influential duo Tim and Eric, whose work helped reshape the tone of modern sketch and absurdist television.
Working closely with Tim Heidecker, Wareheim co-created a run of cult-favorite series that blended public-access aesthetics with surreal humor, including Tom Goes to the Mayor, Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, and Check It Out! with Dr. Steve Brule. Across these projects, he has contributed not only as a performer but also as a writer and director, building a signature style that’s instantly recognizable to fans.
On screen, Wareheim’s credits range from self-appearances in music and documentary-adjacent projects like Blood Into Wine and the LCD Soundsystem Holiday Special, to narrative features such as The Comedy, Wrong Cops, and Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie. Whether playing heightened versions of himself or fully fictional characters, he brings a deadpan intensity that anchors even the strangest moments.
With a career spanning TV, film, and genre-bending specials, Wareheim remains a notable figure in contemporary comedy—an artist whose collaborations and performances continue to influence how weird, experimental humor reaches mainstream audiences.
