Erich Hoeber
Erich Hoeber is an American screenwriter and producer recognized for crafting high-concept, crowd-pleasing studio films. Working primarily in Hollywood genre entertainment, he has built a career around sharp pacing, big set pieces, and character-driven action.
Hoeber’s early screen work includes Montana (1998), which helped establish his foothold in feature filmmaking. He later returned with the thriller Whiteout (2009), expanding his résumé into darker, suspense-forward storytelling.
His widest recognition arrived with Lionsgate’s action-comedy hit RED (2010), a breakout success that led to the follow-up RED 2 (2012). Hoeber continued to deliver large-scale spectacle with The Meg (2018), reinforcing his reputation for accessible, event-style movies that travel well with international audiences.
